LETTER TO THE EDITOR | Re: “Cornellians Mourn, Demand College Acknowledge Palestinians at College students for Justice in Palestine Vigil”

To the editor:

The article concerning the latest College students for Justice in Palestine vigil on campus jogs my memory of the saying, “with associates like these, who wants enemies?”  If SJP cared about Palestinian values, they might condemn Hamas’s intentional slaughter of harmless civilians slightly than recommend that Palestinians’ “proper to resistance” contains gang-raping girls and burning youngsters.  If SJP cared about Palestinians’ welfare, they might name upon Hamas to cease utilizing Gazans as human shields and permit civilians to flee Hamas strongholds.  However SJP does none of this stuff as a result of, like Hamas, SJP’s concern is just not with bettering the lives of Palestinians — SJP has no coherent plans for a Palestinian future — however destroying the state of Israel.  And, as at all times, their efforts will achieve bringing all events, and significantly Palestinians, solely additional ache and struggling.
